EVOH Barrier Films
Films with 5 layers and an EVOH barrier core deliver excellent workability and outstanding barrier properties — the result of the proper copolymerization of ethylene with vinyl alcohol and a uniquely patented manufacturing process.
Molecular Structure
EVOH is a random copolymer of ethylene and vinyl alcohol — a crystalline polymer that forms the barrier core of our 5-layer films. These unique polymers are blown in a 5-layer film process and are particularly suitable for food, medical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, agricultural and industrial packaging.
Suitable Industries
Key Benefits
Food Quality Preservation
Due to excellent gas barrier properties, EVOH retains oxygen and moisture, preserving the taste and quality of food — even for sensitive applications like baby milk.
Chemical Resistance
EVOH resists oils and industrial chemicals, making it ideal for packaging organic solvents, agricultural pesticides and all types of oils — with full integrity.
Process Efficiency
A barrier layer reduces production costs and packaging waste. Structures can be designed for aseptic filling, reducing energy consumption and enabling more goods per transport.
Sustainability
Superior gas barrier means fewer raw materials needed without performance loss. Packaging is lighter and free of harmful chemicals. Barrier waste can be recovered and recycled.
